Feb 06, 2018 I personally have always hated when the server is switched over to night (clunky NVGs, weird lighting, etc), but that is just my opinion. With that being said, I do see where a balanced day/night cycle would help with the overall realism and roleplay. As long as the cycle was something to the effect of 80% day and 20% night, I would be down.
- Aug 15, 2013 Messing around with my new arma3 install, Here's the day/night cycle. God damn this game is freaking beautiful! ARMA 3 Alpha - Day/Night Cycle.
- Hey, this is something server related. How do I make a dynamic day/night cycle on an ARMA III server? I'm currently running the Invade & Annex 2 mission file.
- Official website to the popular Arma 3 Mod. Tho, wouldn't that give lot less time for mission to be completed? For exemple, it is 8:00 in the game, and mission expire at 10:00, and you make so 4 hours per real-world hour; This would give you 30mins instead of 2 hours.
Description
- Description:
- Jumps the specified number of hours forward or backward.
The time of day and tides are adjusted, but no changes are made to any units. If present, the lower level of clouds instantly jump to the position they would be in if time had passed normally.
Syntax
- Syntax:
- skipTime duration
- Parameters:
- duration: Number - Hours to skip.
A positive value will create a forward time jump, a negative value will jump backwards.
One second is roughly 0.00026 hours.
Any calculations must be enclosed in parentheses, e.g. skipTime (_seconds/3600) - Return Value:

Examples

skipTime 5;
- Example 2:
while {true} do { skipTime 0.00333; sleep 0.1;// Smooth time transition};

skipTime (_timeToSkipTo - daytime + 24 ) % 24;// Skip forward to a specific time, irrespective of the current mission time
